Madeline Koontz, Esq.

Born in Guangzhou, China, Madeline immigrated to the United States as an adoptee when she was a baby. After going through the process of being re-adopted in 2015, Madeline became exposed to the world of family law when her family worked with a domestic relations attorney. While it wasn't until her junior year of undergraduate that Madeline decided to pursue a career in law, she has always maintained an interest in the field.

After moving to Chicago for law school, Madeline also developed a passion for criminal defense, stemmed from her clerkship with Coleman Law, P.C.  Deciding to continue working for Coleman Law, P.C. for all three years of her law school career, Madeline became exposed to the intense and exciting world of litigation in both family and criminal law. With her vast participation and ongoing exposure to both the suburban and urban populations of Maryland and Illinois, Madeline gained empathy and understanding to the different dynamics of family, community, and values.

Madeline has gained substantial courtroom experience over the past several years through both observation and participation. Combined with her background along with her eagerness to advocate for clients, Madeline is ready and willing to represent those who come to her in need and will always do so with the utmost care and compassion.
